Profile
Tiantian Xu is a Researcher (Professor) at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund. She has presided over multiple key projects, including the NSFC Joint Key Project, the National Key R\&D Program for Young Scientists, Guangdong Provincial Key Project, Shenzhen Outstanding Young Scientists Project, and Shenzhen Key Project.
She has conducted long-term, systematic research on magnetic-driven microrobots for targeted therapy, established autonomous path planning and collaborative motion control methods for microrobots, developed system platforms, and carried out applied biomedical research. As the first/corresponding author, she has published over 30 high-level IEEE transactions in the field of robotics (including four in the top robotics journal, IEEE T-RO). As the corresponding author, she has also published in Nature (2 papers) and Nature Biomedical Engineering.
She was awarded the Best Application Paper Award at IROS 2019 (1/2494). Her other accolades include the Second Prize of the Natural Science Award from the Chinese Institute of Electronics (ranked 1st), the Second Prize of the Wu Wenjun AI Natural Science Award from the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (ranked 1st), the First Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the Young Scientist Award from the Chinese Association of Automation, the Xiong Youlun Zhihu Outstanding Young Scholar Award, the Shenzhen Youth Science and Technology Award, and the Shenzhen May Fourth Youth Medal. She also serves as an Editorial Board Member for several international robotics journals, including IEEE T-RO, IEEE T-MECH, IEEE T-ASE, and IEEE RA-L.

Design and fabrication of novel magnetically controlled micro-robots: Covering magnetorheological fluids, micro-robot swarms, soft-film and bio-inspired robots, and soft-tissue surgical robots;
Multimodal motion and collaborative control: Investigating multimodal drive mechanisms and multi-agent collaborative control strategies for micro-robots in complex environments;
Frontier application scenarios: Dedicated to the practical implementation of micro-robots in clinical targeted therapy and other specialized confined spaces;
