Research Areas

The research interests include underwater acoustic positioning, underwater target detection and recognition, with specific contents as follows:

• Simulation for multi-array sonar signals, reverberation and noise in underwater adversarial scenes;

• Detection of underwater acoustic echoes from low-speed small targets in strong reverberation;

• Complex waveform design and post-processing for underwater active acoustic signal in multi-static configuration;

• Design of underwater acoustic positioning system and parameter estimation for high-speed and highly maneuverable underwater targets;

• High-precision resolution and robust tracking for acoustic reflection echoes in underwater topographic and bathymetric surveys;

• Feature extraction for underwater target recognition based on instantaneous frequency or phase of underwater acoustic signal.
