研究领域

1. 人类和灵长类神经系统进化、发育和衰老遗传机制
利用研究所灵长类动物模型资源,借助各种组学技术(包括基因组、转录组、代谢组、脂质组等),整合分子进化学、系统生物学、生物信息学等分析手段,通过多学科交叉,立体解析包括非编码转录元件和调控元件、新基因、RNA编辑和RNA甲基化等在进化,发育和疾病发生,尤其是神经系统进化、发育和衰老等过程中的作用机制。

2. 动物进化与医学
基于基因组学和转录组数据,利用各种生物信息学方法并结合功能生物学实验,研究动物复杂性状进化的遗传基础及其在医学中的启示意义。
