Research Areas

Human–Computer Interaction, Human–AI Hybrid Intelligence, Human–AI Collaboration, Human-Centered AI, and Agentic User Interfaces

Our research group is currently recruiting master’s and PhD students, research interns, research assistants, and postdoctoral researchers interested in Human–AI Collaboration, Human-Centered AI, Human–Agent Interaction, and Agentic User Interfaces.

We investigate how to build AI systems that genuinely understand people and collaborate effectively with them. Our research covers topics including human–AI collaboration, user modeling, trust calibration, and explainable AI.

Our group fosters a highly flexible and international research environment. We encourage original interdisciplinary research at the intersection of HCI and AI and support students in submitting their work to leading international conferences and journals, including CHI, ACL, EMNLP, ICML, NeurIPS, CSCW, UIST, IUI, and TOCHI.

Students who are passionate about research, self-motivated, and eager to explore new ideas are warmly invited to join us in advancing the next generation of collaborative AI systems.

To apply, please send your CV to mashuai@iscas.ac.cn.
