Research Areas

The aspects of our research interests are designing, synthesizing, and utilizing new molecular systems for stimuli-responsive and biological applications. 

1. Molecular agents for bio-imaging and therapeutic applications (magnetic resonance imaging, multimodal, fluorescence, gene therapy, tumor imaging, activity-based sensing, gadolinium(III) probe).

2. Sustainable photocatalysis enabled by near infrared light irradiation (near-infrared, two-photon absorption, triplet−triplet annihilation upconversion, photoredox catalysis, ruthenium, osmium, iridium).

3.Smart-responsive complexes and polymers (supramolecular electronics; self-assembly; organometallic materials; multi redox-center systems; electro-transfer; mixed-valence compounds; polypyridyl complexes; cyclometalated complexes; ruthenium; triarylamines; near-infrared; electrochromism; electropolymerization)
