Research Areas

(1) Development of the models for risk assessment on co-occurring mycotoxin contaminants originated from fungal isolates in various foods, via the systems of animal mouse and cell lines.
(2) Establishment and validation of chromatographic approaches (LC-MS/MS) and immunological assays for multi-component mycotoxins in a series of food matrices.
(3) Population structure of mycotoxin-producing Fusarium species and regulatory mechanism of mycotoxin production in foods, as well as novel nano-materials and natural anti-toxic strains for detoxification and neutralization of mycotoxin contaminants in the whole chain concerning food safety.


Education

Dr. Wu obtained Ph. D. from Huazhong Agricultural University in Jan., 2005. 


Experience

Starting from Apr., 2005, he was a lecturer and two years later promoted to associate professor at School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From Apr. 2011, he was invited as associate professor and two years later as full professor to establish the group of Mycotoxin Research at Institute for Agro-food Standards and Testing Technology, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences. From Feb., 2015, he joined INS in October 2005, as a Principal Investigator, Professor of the Laboratory of Mycotoxin Research and Food Safety at INS, SIBS/CAS. As achieved, he has published 45 peer-reviewed full-text articles and co-acquired one provincial level I Science & Technology Advancement Award.
