​He received his Bachelor's degree of Chemistry in Shanxi Normal University in 1990, MS. degree and Ph. D. degree in Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1993, and 1997, respectively. Then he worked as a research assistant in the same institute. From 1999 to 2000, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Pharmacy, Leuven University. From 2000 to 2003, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Tübingen University. In 2003, he joined the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a researcher scientist. In 2015, he joined the National Key Laboratory of bioorganic chemistry. His research work engaged in drug analysis, bio-analytical chemistry, chiral separation, new technologies for drug discovery and drug target identification. He is authored or co-authored more than 100 publications and 4 book chapters. He is the member of the Chromatography Professional Committee, Chinese Chemical Society. He is the deputy editor of the Journal of Chinese Chromatography.
