Dr. Sheng Zhang is a Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Research Scientist at Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics. He also serves as the Director of Advanced Thermal Hydraulics Laboratory (https://www.shengzhangath.com) and Associate Editor for the Journal of Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Science. 

Prior to this, he was a Research Investigator (research faculty) in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences at the University of Michigan, where he previously held a position as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He received his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences from the University of Michigan in 2020. 

He has authored/co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and chaired sesstions at international coferences, such as the International Topical Meeting on Nuclear Reactor Thermal Hydraulics (NURETH 2022) and Advances in Thermal Hydraulics (ATH 2022).
