Research Areas & Interests

Computer Architecture and Heterogeneous Acceleration

At ICT, Dr. Zhang is leading a research and engineering team to build prototypes of new computing and storage systems for datacenter and cloud.

One of a recent work is an energy-efficient and cost-effective FPGA cloud infrastructure that could accelerate both networking and storage datapath.

A simplified version of this FPGA cloud is being used as an educational tool for Dr. Zhang's Computer Organization and Design course at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).
