Zhang Dongrong is a senior librarian in the National Science of Library of CAS (NSLC) and is appointed as a professor in the University of CAS. She is responsible for the graduate education management in the NSLC as a department director.

Since 1996, she has been working at the Library for 27 years. As a seasoned librarian, she has been involving in many key research and practice fields, such as library information service and information literacy education, knowledge service system construction, and long-term preservation of digital resources.

She actively participates in international cooperation to promote experience sharing and exchange. She has held as member in the international academic organizations such as IFLA and CORE. she is visit-scholar of University of Pittsburgh in 2005 and participated in iPRES and other international conferences many times.
