研究领域
1. 衍射极限环光源的在轴注入方法和相关束流动力学
基于多弯铁消色散单元(MBA)的衍射极限环光源将实现小于100pm的束流自然发射度,X射线同步辐射亮度将比第三代同步辐射光源提升2~3个量级。这类衍射极限环光源一般仅能实现1~5mm的动力学孔径,实现传统的离轴注入方式变得十分困难,探索在轴置换注入和在轴纵向注入方法大势所趋。中国的第一台衍射极限环光源 -- 高能同步辐射光源(HEPS)计划将于2025年在北京怀柔科学城建成,HEPS将成为国际上最先实现这类新型注入方法的衍射极限环装置之一。
2. 高能环形对撞机中的极化束流
100km周长的高能环形正负电子对撞机(CEPC)是我国提出的国际大科学计划,将在45GeV、80GeV和120GeV束流能量下对撞产生海量的Z玻色子、W玻色子和Higgs玻色子,探索粒子物理的基本问题。在CEPC上探索实现极化正负电子束流的加速器方案,对实现束流能量的精确测量和扩展物理实验潜能有重要意义。面向未来对撞机的极化束应用,课题组开展自旋动力学理论和模拟研究以及束流极化度测量、极化电子源研发等实验研究。
