I am Chuan-Peng Zhang, an astronomer working at the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NAOC) as an associate professor now, and was ever at the Max-Planck-Institut für Astronomie (MPIA) as a postdoc.

Research Areas

My researches mainly focus on the star formation and early evolution. Some achievements have been made in the topics of "formation and evolution of infrared dust bubbles", "fragmentation and deuteration of dense and cold cores", "physical structure of hyper-compact HII regions", "observation and simulation of protoplanetary disks", etc. In general, I have a good domestic and foreign cooperative relationship. I have published about 70 papers, and has been approved for telescope applications for 20 proposals (over 300 hours in total).
