Dr. Xuefeng Yu is currently a Professor and Director of Materials and Interfaces Center at Institute of Advanced Materials Science and Engineering, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He got his B Sc in Physics, M Sc in Microelectronics and Solid Electronics, and Doctor's degree (Ph.D.) in Optics at Wuhan University. From 2009.1 to 2010.12, He worked as a postdoctor in College of Life Sciences, Wuhan University. From 2011.1-2012.6, he was an associated professor in Department of Physics and Materials of Wuhan University. From 2012.7-2013.12, he was a Senior Research Associate in Department of Physics and Materials of City University of Hongkong. From 2014.02, he joined Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and then founded Materials and Interfaces Center. Now, he is the Direct of Materials and Interfaces Center and Deputy Director of Institute of Advanced Materials Science and Engineering.

Dr. Xuefeng Yu focuses on applied materials and interfaces. He has published over 100 SCI papers in the journals including Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Biomaterials, Small etc. The SCI citation number (by others) is over 9000 times. He is a reviewer for Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Biomaterials, etc. His 19 patents have been assigned to the industrial with RMB 41 million. He has been awarded the Technology Novelty Person Award of China, Outstanding Young Scientist Award of Guangdong Branch of Chinese Academy of Science, Leading Talent in Guangdong Province, and the Peacock Talent of ShenZhen.
