主要从事近海有害藻华研究,研究对象包括赤潮、绿潮、褐潮和金潮等我国近海典型有害藻华现象,主要研究方向包括:

- 赤潮藻毒素分析方法研发与应用;

- 有毒有害藻种分子生物学检测方法与应用;

- 有害藻华生态学与海洋学过程;

- 有害藻华危害效应与机理。

- 有害藻华监测与预警技术。
