He focuses on the history of science and technology in the 18th and 19th century France, phenomenology of science and technology, historiography of science and technology. Prof. Yao Dazhi is the head of Editorial Office and deputy director for the Department of History of Science and Technology in the West at the Institute for the History of Natural Sciences (IHNS, CAS).
