Research Interests

²  Synthesis of supported precious metal catalysts

Develop new method to prepare highly dispersed precious metals including Au, Pt, Pd, etc.; explore the new applications of these catalytic systems and investigate their catalytic mechanisms.

²  Application of X-ray absorption spectroscopy

Design new in situ cell (e.g., reactor for gas-solid phase reactions at ambient and/or high pressures/temperatures, etc.) for the characterization of catalysts by in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy and provide a powerful way to get new insight into the state of the active sites during the catalytic processes.
