Research Areas

Precision Measurements of Neutrino Properties

My research focuses on precision measurements of neutrino oscillations and fundamental neutrino properties using the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO). Current topics include neutrino oscillation parameters, the neutrino mass ordering, and other precision measurements. The discovery of neutrino oscillations established that neutrinos have nonzero mass, providing one of the first clear indications of physics beyond the Standard Model. These studies aim to improve our understanding of the origin of neutrino mass and to search for possible new physics.

Particle Detectors and Data Analysis Methods

I develop detector technologies and data analysis methods for large-scale neutrino and rare-event experiments, including JUNO and NvDEx. My research covers detector response modeling, calibration, simulation, event reconstruction, statistical data analysis, and the application of machine learning to particle identification and event reconstruction. These efforts aim to improve detector performance, reduce systematic uncertainties, and establish a complete analysis chain from detector signals to physics measurements.

Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay and Low-Background Experiments

I am involved in the NvDEx experiment, which searches for neutrinoless double-beta decay to determine whether neutrinos are Majorana particles and to investigate lepton-number violation and the origin of neutrino mass. NvDEx employs a high-pressure xenon/SeF₆ time projection chamber (TPC) with pixelated charge readout, enabling three-dimensional event reconstruction and topological discrimination to suppress radioactive backgrounds. My research includes low-background detector technologies, signal readout, event reconstruction, and sensitivity studies for next-generation neutrinoless double-beta decay experiments.
