Research Interests
- Phylogeny and evolution of Orobanchaceae (including hemiparasitic Scrophulariaceae s.l., and non-parasitic Lindenbergia), with an emphasis on evolution of parasitism.
- Evolution of floral diversity and specification of Pedicularis (Orobachaceae) in the Himalaya-Hengduan Mountains regions.
- Assessing genetic diversity of extremely endangered species, and its application in conservation biology.
- Applications of DNA barcoding approaches in species identification, discovery of new species, community phylogeny, and conservation.
