Dr. TIAN Yajun is a Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor; the director of the Extended Energy Big Data and Strategy Research Center (EEBD&SRC); the expert in the key project guidelines of the Ministry of Science and Technology's "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key R&D Program; an expert in the ISO/TC207/SC5 working group.
Dr. TIAN Yajun is a pioneer in the construction and application of energy big data in China. He first proposed the concept and theoretical framework of extended energy big data (EEBD), and mainly engaged in the research of extended energy big data and its intelligent application, including intelligent system, intelligent energy, intelligent decision-making and intelligent governance.
Researcher Tian Yajun graduated from Taiyuan University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in coal chemical engineering in 1994 and obtained a doctorate in engineering in 2001. He has successively engaged in postdoctoral research in chemistry and physics at Nanjing University, renewable energy research at Nagoya University in Japan, material chemistry and energy chemistry research at the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and energy big data and energy strategy research at the China Energy Investment Corporation Ltd., National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy.
He has successively undertaken or participated as a backbone in more than 40 projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and enterprises, published 7 monographs, applied for 13 invention patents, 1 appearance patent, 1 PCT patent, 32 software copyrights, published more than 100 scientific and technological papers, and participated in the compilation of 3 national standards, 4 local standards and 1 association standard as a core editor. He presided over the establishment of the world's first pan-energy big data system, the first energy space management application research technology platform, the first extended energy big data interconnection platform, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering energy professional knowledge service system. The world’s first geographic information-based life cycle assessment (GIS-LCA) technology and software platform he pioneered were both rated as "internationally leading" by the academician expert group, and the core content was regarded as Chinese characteristics, being adopted by national standards.
