Research Interest

My research interest is focused on the industrial, agricultural and applied microbiolgy, which mainly includes the comprohesive studies of the industrial microbes, metabolic products, enzymes and other functional microbial materials. Current studies are focusing on the analysis of the fundamental processes of microbes in biosynthesis, metabolism and iltrnsformation of relevant compuunds, and the development of novel processes and products for industrial application. In addition,  my research interest is also in developing statistically sound and computationally ecient methods to address important biological problems in genetics and genomics. These problems often involve large-scale and high-dimensional "big data", which come from, for example, genome-wide association studies and functional genomics studies. Through developing novel statistical methods and analytic tools, I hope to advance our understanding of the genetic basis of phenotypic variation.
