General

I am Dr. Su Tong, an Associate Researcher at the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. I am also a member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences. I completed my undergraduate studies at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and obtained my Master's degree with honors from the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. I completed my Ph.D. in 2020 in the field of Physics and Electronics at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

From 2014 until now, I have been working at the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, holding positions as an intern researcher, assistant researcher, and now as an associate researcher. From 2022 to 2023, I conducted postdoctoral research on quantum and photon detection at Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom.

Over the past five years, I have successfully applied for and led 14 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Defense Fund, and the Key Research and Development Program of Shaanxi Province. I have published 14 papers as the first author or corresponding author and have received multiple awards for my work.

Research Areas

My main research involves theoretical modeling, technological advancement, and experimental validation of core devices for ultraviolet and X-ray wavelengths, with a particular focus on their applications in space. My research interests include space X-ray communication, pulsed X-ray modulated emission sources, optoelectronic detection, and X-ray space exploration.
