Research Areas
We utilize neutron scattering techniques, combining specific heat, magnetic properties, and electronic/thermal transport measurements, to study the atomic structure and dynamics of condensed matter, aiming to understand the macroscopic behavior of materials at the atomic level and thus guide the optimization of material properties. Specific research directions include:
1. Structure and lattice dynamics of condensed matter
2. Phonon transport and thermal conductivity in thermoelectric materials;
3. Lattice thermal vibrations in the order-disorder phase transition;
4. Solid-state refrigeration materials for magneto-, baro-, and elasto-caloric effects;
5. Negative thermal expansion behavior and mechanisms in magnetic materials.
