Plant disease is one of the major factors threatening global food security. To understand the mechanism underlined plants immunity could help to develop new strategies to improve plant disease resistance. Dr. Qiu’s research focuses on plant perception of pathogenic microbes and signal transduction mechanism of plant disease resistance, and aims to develop new strategies for crop improvement.
