Dissertation: Time-interval Analysis for Radiation Monitoring,

This research focused on the time-interval (time difference between two consecutive radiation pulses) data analyses for on-line radiation monitoring based on three sophisticated statistical methods (SPRT, Bayesian statistics, and CUSUM). The experimental data were acquired with a DGF-4C system in list mode and the simulated data were obtained by using Monte Carlo techniques under the programming environment of IGOR Pro. The results show that the special features of time-intervals provide an alternative for on-line radiation monitoring. The time-interval analyses based on aforementioned methods can respond to changes in radiation levels faster than count information analyses. With proper modifications to each statistical algorithm, the performance of time-interval analysis can be further improved.

Thesis: Experimental study of high spin states in 134Ba and 135La (in Chinese)

I conducted experimental studies of high spin states of 134Ba and 135La via 128Te(10B,1p3n)134Ba and 128Te(10B, 3n)135La reactions by using the in-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy. In the experiments, nine High-Purity Germanium (HPGe) detectors were employed for the measurements of g-g coincidence data.  Each HPGe detector was surrounded by a Bismuth Germanate (BGO) scintillation detector for Compton-suppression. New level schemes of 134Ba and 135La have been established and discussed to update the existing high spin data.
