As a researcher in the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the head of soil sub-center of the CERN (The Chinese Ecosystem Research Network), my main research interest is on soil and data, including how to acquire soil information by new technology, such as remote sensing and proximal sensing, how to store them, and how to analyse soil big data.
Research Areas
Mainly in the area of soil remote sensing and soil proximal sensing, in relating with Soil Information Systems, soil database and data analysis.

B.Sc. degree from Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, China, in 1987,
M.S. degree in soil science from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2000, and
Ph.D. degree in agricultural resources and environment from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2005.
