His major research interests are operating systems and fundamental software，co-desing of software and hardware, software process technology, software engineering methodology. He has published and co-authored more than one hundred research papers, and was awarded the second prize of Year 2005 National Science and Technology Progress.

Dr. Mingshu Li took his post-doctoral research in Institute of Software at the Chinese Academy of Sciences during 1993-1995 and Department of Artificial Intelligence at University of Edinburgh during 1995-1996, respectively. He is Research Professor, Director of National Research Center of Fundamental Software, and Chief Scientist of Internet Software Technologies, Institute of Software at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

            

Dr. Mingshu Li took his post-doctoral research in Institute of Software at the Chinese Academy of Sciences during 1993-1995 and Department of Artificial Intelligence at University of Edinburgh during 1995-1996, respectively. He is Research Professor, Chief Scientist of Internet Software Technologies, and the Director of the Institute of Software at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
