Research Areas

Asian monsoon is the most active and important member of the global monsoon. Currently, researches on the interrelation between the Indian monsoon and East Asian Monsoon are still lagging behind. In recent years, we are adopted by pollen analysis of several cores sediment of the eastern Indian Ocean and the southern South China Sea, based on modern pollen research. Dr. Luo Chuanxiu has taken charge of four projects from the National Natural Science Foundation on Asian monsoon topics.

Research Interests

Research interests: Marine pollen and spore, environmental evolution and biological response, environmental archaeology, etc. Continuous engaged in palynology studies and research work more than ten years, formed a serial of practical and feasible technical route and method system on the sporopollen research in the continental and marine sediments.
