Experience

Guorui Liu obtained his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Science from the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2010. Dr. Guorui Liu is currently holding a professor position in RCEES, CAS. His research field is focused on the analysis, environmental characteristics and control of trace environmental contaminants in the air, marine sediment, industrial emissions and other environmental matrices. Much data and knowledges from Dr. Liu’s work have been recommended by the technical documents under Stockholm Convention for the compiling the global emission inventory and reduction of trace pollutants.

Prof. Guorui Liu have many experiences as the role of journal editor. He is the associate editor of Elsevier journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, guest editor of Chemosphere, and managing guest editor of Emerging Contaminants, editorial board member of iScience and Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology. Dr. Guorui Liu has published about 100 papers about the analysis and characteristics of trace environmental contaminants in internationally refereed journals including Environ. Pollut., Prog. Energy Combust. Sci., Environ. Sci. Technol., Trends Anal. Chem., Chemosphere, etc.

Prof. Guorui Liu is currently in charge of several projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Global Environment Fund (GEF). Prof. Liu has won the “Yong Scientist Award” in the 13th International Symposium of Persistent Toxic Substance held by the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Germany in 2016. Prof. Liu is an expert on the project funded by the UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization).
