My research areas cover the mechanism discovering, tools and methods designing, therapeutic targets and molecules screening and longitudinal in vivo functional imaging and assessment of the neurodegeneration, neuroprotection and neuroregeneration bioprocess in neuronal system. Now we focus on the treatment of the traumatic injury and ocular hypertension (glaucoma-like mouse model) induced retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) degeneration. We aim to protect the RGCs somas and axons from the neuropathy diseases, promote the axon regeneration from the traumatic injury and recover the functional projection of the re-connected ocular-brain visual pathway.
