Research Areas
His research focuses on how paleoenvironmental change shaped the migration, adaptation, and evolution of humans and other organisms. He integrates paleoclimate simulations, ecological niche and habitat models, fossil and archaeological records, and environmental proxy data to develop and apply coupled paleoenvironment–biological evolution models, aiming to quantitatively investigate human–environment interactions over deep-time scales.
