Research Interest

- Modeling the energy, water and carbon exchanges between the land surface and the atmosphere using satellite remote sensing observations across visible – near infrared – shortwave infrared – thermal infrared – microwave spectral domains. 

Radiative transfer modeling and retrievals of land surface bio-physical and essential climate variables from satellite observations, including albedo, land surface temperature, soil moisture, vegetation indices, etc.

Remote sensing applications to evapotranspiration, crop water use, biomass production/crop yield, drought monitoring under changing environment and climate. 

Remote sensing applications to cryosphere environment study.
