Her research interests include parallel programming and parallel compilers, including parallel programming models, multi-core compiler optimizations, parallel program optimizations, parallel algorithms, GPU programming skills, GPU compiler optimizations, and programming enviornments for big data processing. 

On parallel programming, currently she is working on a programming enviornment for big data processing in CPU/GPGPU hybrid clusters. The key challenges include: hetergeneous MapReduce for hybrid clusters, adaptive load balancing, compiler optimizations for hybrid clusters. 

On parallel compilers, currently she is working on a new compilation methodology to integrate domain experts' optimization experiences. The purpose is to intelligently determine a specific optimization sequence for a given domain.
