About Us:
iGeochem Cloud is an open cyber-physical framework for intelligent geochemical research systems, integrating digital twins, AI orchestration, and FAIR data principles to enable full automation and reproducibility of the entire geochemical research workflow. The project code is open-sourced on GitHub (https://github.com/IGeochemCloud/igeochem-cloud).
Dr. Huang Qiang, the team leader, is affiliated with the Karst Environment Evolution and Ecological Security Laboratory at the Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has long been engaged in environmental geochemical research and has led multiple national natural science foundation projects, including key projects and youth funds, as well as several provincial-ministerial level topics.
We Are Looking For:
The development of iGeochem Cloud involves interdisciplinary collaboration. We welcome students interested in the following areas to join as interns or part-time graduate students in the long term:
• Artificial Intelligence/Computer Science: Fine-tuning and deployment of large language models (Geo-LLM), development of multi-agent collaborative systems, knowledge graph construction, front-end/back-end development, and UI/UX design
• Earth Sciences: Isotope geochemistry, environmental geochemistry, experimental data interpretation, and domain knowledge modeling
• Analytical Testing: Geochemical analytical techniques, laboratory automation, instrument control, and data acquisition
• Other Relevant Areas: Students with interests in scientific computing, open-source software development, digital twins, or FAIR data management are also welcome
What You Can Gain:
• Practical experience in cutting-edge interdisciplinary projects (AI + Geochemistry)
• Open-source community contribution experience; outstanding achievements may lead to co-publication of papers
• Flexible working hours and location (remote work supported)
• Competitive internship/part-time stipend
• Outstanding performers may be recommended for master's or doctoral programs
