Research Areas

(1)High temperature superconducting magnet, Strain measurement techniques (e.g. low temperature resistance stain gauge, fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) strain sensor and acoustic emission) under cryogenic temperature field;

 

(2)Experiment investigation of magneto-mechanical behaviors of superconducting magnets in a carried environment, the explore of a new non-electric quench detection method (the quench detection method based on the strain measurements), the R&D of the multi-field test system of mechanical properties of superconducting composites and related experimental study;

 

(3)Numerical simulation of electromagnetic structures considering multi-field coupled behavior using nonlinear FEM (COMSOL Multiphysics), the mechanical stress in superconducting coils during winding process and their practical appraisal under complicated environment.
