
DU Xiaoping is a Professor with International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS) and Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, the Deputy Head, Big Earth Data Technologies & Products Department of CBAS. He is a Member of the Executive Committee of ACM SIGSPATIAL China Branch, a Member of the Council of Marine Big Data and High Performance Computing Branch of China Pacific Society. His research interests include digital earth, big earth data, AI for image processing and applications, remote sensing for natural disasters, and environment monitoring. DU Xiaoping received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science and technology from China University of Geosciences, China, and the Ph.D. degree in geographic information system (GIS) from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He worked as a Postdoc with the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
