Research Areas

Theory and techniques of microwave remote sensing

Microwave scattering and emission characterising of target and enviroment;
Theory and techniques of microwave remote sensing for target and environment;
Methods and technology for microwave remote sensing instruments;
Remote sensing and information retrieval for new parameters and new frequencies.

Research Priorities: Theory and techniques for remote sensing and information acquision of atmospheric, oceanic, terrestrial and plenetary environment.

Research and development of advanced microwave remote sensing systems

Design and implmentation of advanced space- air- and ground-based microwave remote sensing systems;
Antenna, RF, digital and processing technology for advanced microwave remote sensing systems;
Calibration of advanced microwave remote sensing.

Research priorities: Adanved active and passive microwave sensors with high precisions; millimeter wave and terahertz remote sensing systems.

Applications of microwave remote sensing for earth and space science

Microwave remote sensing information of essential earth and plentary environment variables for global change, earth and space science applications.
