主要从事土壤螨类系统分类、生物多样性与生态地理学研究。先后主持和参加科技部国家科技基础资源调查项目课题、子课题、国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家自然科学基金青年基金、中国科学院知识创新工程重要方向项目子课题、中国科学院青促会人才专项、中国科学院重点实验室课题、东北地理所优秀青年基金、东北地理所青年科学家小组基金、中国博士后科学基金面上和特别资助、吉林省科技厅、吉林省人社厅等项目20余项。

发表学术论著122篇/部，其中，SCI 收录论文 93 篇，EI 论文 1 篇，中文专著 1 部（国家出版基金资助），英文专著 4 部，专著章节 4 部，1 篇论文入选 ESI 高被引论文；2 部中文专著《中国动物志，无脊椎动物，第六十五卷，蜱螨亚纲，甲螨亚目，折甲螨卷》（国家科学技术学术著作出版基金资助，科学出版社）和《长白山区土壤甲螨系统分类与多样性分布格局》（科学出版社）待出版；参加 2 部专著和 1 部教材（全国高等农林院校“十四五”规划教材）编著，均已交稿；还有 2 部中文专著《中国东部农区土壤甲螨志》和《中国典型山脉土壤甲螨分类与多样性》编研中；获 2023 年度科技部国家科学技术学术著作出版基金1项，2018 年度周尧昆虫分类学励基金 1 项，2016 年度“黑龙江省高校科学技术一等奖”1 项。
