Research Areas
Research Interests:
In response to pressing needs for analytical sciences to ensure national security, ecological environment and life health, it is essential to develop new theories and methodologies for mass spectrum, spectrum and sensors, prepare inspection instrument for new explosives, narcotics and chemical warfare agents, as well as exploit high-tech analytical instrument for continuous monitoring of hazardous metals, organics and aerosol, so as to safeguard national and social security, improve environmental pollution and ensure availability of testing means.
1. The research of novel soft ion source for online instruments
The study of novel ion source based on the core techniques of soft ionization for online analysis instruments such as ion mobility spectrometry and mass spectrometry, which focused great attention on the vacuum ultraviolet lamp based ion source and the atmospheric ion source, and the development of selective ionization techniques.
2.Study on New Technology of Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS)
Aim to meet the demand for field rapid measurement, we study on the high resolution and high sensitivity ion mobility spectrometry (IMS), the miniaturization of ion mobility spectrometry, the key techniques of differential ion mobility spectrometry (DMS), and develop the real time on-line analytical methods and application.
3.New techniques and methods of mass spectrometry
Development of high throughput and on-line mass spectrometry by researches on the key technologies of high efficient fast enrichment sampling, direct sampling, mass spectrometry miniaturization and system integration. Development of multidimensional mass spectrometry technology based on ion mobility spectrometry-mass spectrometry (IM-MS) and mass spectrometry-mass spectrometry (MS-MS) and its applications. Development of high resolution Time-of-flight mass spectrometry with multiple reflections and its applications.
4. On-line monitoring facilities and instruments
Based on ion mobility spectrometry and mass spectrometry, new methods and instruments were developed
for online detection of anaesthetic, pollutions in foods and rapid screening explosive and drug.
