研究领域

目前主要以哺乳动物代表类群为研究材料,通过分子系统学、种群遗传学、景观遗传学、历史生物地理学和几何(数学)形态学等方法,结合化石记录和现生物种探讨它们的演化历史和系统发育关系;对比分析不同类群在分子、形态和行为上的适应性演化规律;阐明不同类群在演化进程中的消长规律、分布格局变迁等,以及全球不同地质历史时期的气候变化引起的生态系统变迁对这些动物类群产生的影响。根据社会需要将基础理论研究与生物资源的合理应用和保护、有害生物的预防和控制相结合。
