Research Areas
His research interests are nanocrystal engineering, designable and controllable synthesis of hybrid nanocrystal with varied 3D nanostructure, and developing highly controlled multifunctional heterogeneous nanocrystals and lanthanide-doped nanocrystals with novel luminescent nanomaterials for applications such as bioimaging, optogenetics and photovoltaics .
Education
He earned his BS and MS degree from Jilin University in 2012. He completed his PhD on controlled grwoth of core-shell NaREF4 nanocrystals at the Macqurie University (MQU) in 2016 under the direction of Professor Dayong Jin. During 2017-2019, he subsequently worked as postdoctoral researcher at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
