Research Areas
1. Research on Small-Scale Cryogenic Refrigeration Technology: The objective is to achieve a cooling temperature of approximately 2 K using pulse tube cryocoolers. Subsequently, advanced methods like adsorption/adiabatic demagnetization will be employed to further reduce the temperature to below 100 mK.
2. Development of Low-Temperature Scientific Instruments/Devices: This research involves using small-scale cryocoolers as the cold source to create low-temperature scientific instruments for testing material properties such as mechanical, electrical, and thermal parameters. Additionally, using cryogenic liquids like liquid nitrogen, or other low-temperature liquids, to develop large/medium-scale low-temperature devices for environmental simulation, volatile organic compound condensation and recovery, and rapid food freezing.
3. Research on Low-Temperature Fluid Thermal Management and Pressure Control Technology: The focus here is on developing efficient passive thermal insulation methods suitable for cryogenic liquids like liquid hydrogen. Furthermore, active refrigeration-based zero-boiled-off storage technology will be explored, along with the development of key equipment like flow meters and valves for the storage and transportation of cryogenic liquids.
4. Energy Storage Technology Research: The goal is to investigate high-efficiency methods for cold storage, heat storage, and electrical energy storage, while also developing the necessary equipment.
