以太阳能生物转化为背景，以微藻为主要研究对象，通过生物化工、化学和合成生物学技术的组合运用，探索微藻高效光合固碳的生物学机制并加以运用：

（1）认识和理解微藻对环境因子的响应以及物质、能量传递对细胞定向生长的影响；

（2）以光合作用在线表征为基础，开发和拓展微藻培养智能测控系统；

（3）开发微藻及其天然产物的高值化利用技术。
