Pengyuan Zhang, Professor and PhD Supervisor, Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Part-time Professor, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Currently Director of the Speech and Intelligent Information Processing Laboratory at the Institute of Acoustics. Principal Investigator of a Key Program of the Joint Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
He has long been engaged in research in the fields of speech acoustics and acoustic artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on audio generation large models, deepfake audio detection, multilingual speech recognition, and acoustic event detection. He has published more than 100 papers in domestic and international journals and academic conferences. His research achievements have received numerous awards, including the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress awarded by the Ministry of Public Security, the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress awarded by the Beijing Municipal Government, the Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the China Patent Excellence Award.

Information Processing Laboratory at the Institute of Acoustics.
During 2013 and 2014, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Sheffield.

Honors & Distinctions
He was also the area Chair of INTERSPEECH 2019 and 2020. Works co-authored with his colleagues have won IEEE DCASE 2019, 2021 and 2023 Challenge, MuSe 2022 Challenge, VoxSRC2022 Challenge, IJCAI ADD2023 Challenge.
