Research Interests

1. The trace elements role  in Human Neurodegenerative Diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease.

Using Drosophila as an animal model, our study aims to clarify the key genetic factors that determine the metabolic balance mechanism of transition metal ions (e.g. Fe, Cu, Zn) in the digestive system and central nerve system of Drosophila, and explore the influence of the disorders of these metals on insect development and behavior. Based on our discoveries, we want to find new ideas for insect control (such as vector mosquito) and prevention or treatment of human neurodegenerative diseases.

2. How metal ions (e.g. Zn, Cu, Fe) acquired and balanced in plant cells. The end aim of this study is to help making artificial plants for strengthening micronutrient of human stable food.
