Experimental Condensed Matter Physics under extreme conditions:

(1) high-pressure synthesis and physical properties of new functional materials like transition-metal oxides

(2) growth of large-size single crystals under high pressure and the related physics study

(3) modification of exotic electronic states under multi extreme conditions (high pressure, low temperature, and strong magnetic field)

Research Interests

We are interested in the high-pressure synthesis, ambient- and high-pressure physical properties, structure-property relationships, and structure and electronic states under external stimuli for new quantum (functional) materials with strongly electronic correlation. By using high-pressure and high-temperature conditions, we obtained tens of novel transition-metal oxides, and found a series of interesting physical properties.
