Soil Environmental Chemistry

I have been focusing on the interfacial chemistry processes of pollutants in soils and the application of these fundamental knowledge to regulate and decontaminate typical soil pollutants in the soil/water/plant systems. In the fundamental aspect, We have succefully developed the strong electric field conductivity measuring device independently, and employed this device to measure the Wien effect of heavy metal ions in different types of soil suspension. This research advanced the current undertstanding of the nature of non-spcific adsorption phenominon. Besides, I have done much applied studies. Specifically, We use a multitude of traditional soil chemistry methods in combination with various chromatographic, spectroscopic, and microscopic methods, including state-of-the-art techniques such as synchrotron radiation-based X-ray techniques, to elucidate the environmental behavior of heavy metals in the soil micro-interface. 63 scientific papers were published in peer-reviewed jounals based on these studues, among which 31 papers could be indexed by the Science Citation Index (SCI) system
