In 1986 she obtained a bachelor's degree of science from the department of geography of Shaanxi Normal University; in August of the same year was assigned to work at our Institute till now. In 1993 she was graduated from our Institute majoring in human geography with a Master's degree; in 2000 she was graduated from the Institute of Geographic Science and Resource Research with a Doctor's degree of tourism geography.

| Now she is research fellow of Xingjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography under the CAS, member of academic/degree evaluation committee and doctoral/master's tutor. In 2001 she was appointed associate research fellow and in 2003 promoted to research fellow. From March of 2004 to March of 2005 she went to the School of Environment, University of Waterloo, Canada to work as a visiting scholar.Currently she is mainly engaged in the researches on tourism development and planning in Xinjiang and cooperation in studying regional economic resources in Central Asia. |
