Specialized in mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry, mainly focused on the petrology and geochemistry of rocks derived from different level of the lithosphere, with aims of characterizing the composition, structure and evolution in the lithosphere.


Research Areas

I am engaged in research of the composition, structure, evolution, and dynamics of continental lithosphere. My recent specific interests are: (1) geodynamics of the opening and evolution of the South China Sea; (2) Magmatism, material cycles and dynamics of ring-shaped subduction system in Southeast Asia; (3) magmatic evolution, hydrothermal processes and mineralization of highly evolved granites.
