2000-2002,  Postdoctoral fellow (STA fellow), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan. Research on the thermoelectric property of Ca3Co4O9 system. 

1998-2000,  Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Research on Giant Magneto-Resistance in Magnetic Granular Alloys, and the growth mechanics and superconducting propertied of Bi-2212 whiskers.
