General

Xu Jilei, born in Shandong Province in Nov. 1984, currently is an Associate Researcher and Senior Engineer in the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IHEP, CAS).

In 2006, he graduated from the Department of Physics of Northeast Normal University and was recommended to the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for a both master and doctor degree in particle physics and nuclear physics. He received his PhD in 2011 and then be a staff in IHEP. In 2020, he won the Innovation Center of Excellence "Young Outstanding Talent".

He mainly participated in the construction and data analysis of Daya Bay Neutrino experiment, engaged in veto detector construction, simulation and data analysis of cosmic rays and related isotope backgrounds, and won the 2016 BREAKTHROUGH PRIZE IN FUNDAMENTAL PHYSICS (Collaboration Award). Currently, he mainly participates in Jiangmen Neutrino Underground  Observatory (JUNO), and is engaged in cosmic ray simulation and reconstruction and 3-inch photomultiplier tube (PMT) production, testing and installation in JUNO small PMT system.
